The Problem

Just off of I-74, Brownsburg is 30-minute drive Northwest from Indianapolis. The city has a population of approximately 21,000 and is known for their low crime, strong economy and excellent schools.

Brick + Ember Outfitters visited Brownsburg to perform a leak evaluation and chimney assessment. The chimney was deteriorating and dangerous, so a rebuild was necessary.

The Solution

Brick + Ember Outfitters tore out existing bricks and rebuilt the top 3 courses of the chimney. We created a stair-step with the bricks to create a drip edge. Tuck pointing was performed on approximately 150 joints on the chimney. We replaced step and counter flashing and installed a stainless steel chase cover with new rain caps.

The final result: a solid and safe chimney that is leakproof.
